S ince the advent of the nuclear bomb, mankind has lived under the shadow of nuclear holocaust which could wipe out man’s way of life on earth. Added to this horror is the increasing phenomenon of famines, sicknesses and diseases plaguing the planet? All these events coming together seems to be sending a strong message that mankind could be approaching annihilation. According to scientists years of pollution of the earth is now creating global warming at unprecedented scale leaving every living thing at the mercy of devastating natural disasters.

Thousands of years ago, the Bible predicted that these events would increase at an alarming rate until they culminate in what is known as Armageddon. Armageddon in this sense means unprecedented destruction. The question you might ask is

when will Armageddon take place and is there any way of escape? Jesus Christ answered the question of Matthew 24 verse 3 saying that the generation of human beings that sees the signs preceding His coming back to earth will experience Armageddon (Matthew 24 verse 34). The signs are wars and rumours of war, earthquakes, famines, out of control terrible diseases and others (Matthew 24 vs 4 – 41).

Christ further indicated that “And there shall be signs in the sun (i.e depletion of the ozone layer), … and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and waves roaring (i.e Tsunamis, huge tidal waves); Men’s heart failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth…” (Luke 21 vs 25 & 26).

While Armageddon, as described in the Apocalypse of the book of Revelation is inevitable, Christ promised to redeem and save all those who will put their trust in Him from this event (Luke 21 vs 28). Jesus Christ said “I am the way, the truth and life, no man cometh to the father but by me” (John 14 vs 6).

Pray the prayer below and put your trust in Jesus Christ. You will be saved from the coming Armageddon.

“Lord Jesus, thank you for your free gift of salvation through your death and resurrection when you died on the cross. I know that I am a sinner. Your word says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and the wages of these sins is death but the gift of God is eternal life through you Jesus. I am sorry that I committed all these sins. I ask that you please forgive me and wash away my sins through your shed blood on the cross of Calvary. I accept you as my Lord and saviour and commit my life to you from henceforth. Thank you because this simple prayer has brought me salvation from sin because your word says that whosoever calls on the name of the Lord will be save”.
